PLEASE Help with pt8 and mbox2 pro!

Hi everyone, So I got the mbox2 pro factory bundle along with a MBP unibody 2.53 and 4GB ram (OSX). To connect them and to record the sessions I've got a Glyph GT050 500Gb ext HD... So the mbox2pro goes into the Glyph via fw400 cable then the Glyph goes into the MBP via fw800 cable... I've just got PT8 from download I can't get anything to play - keep getting -6106 error or others referring cpu overload and to the H/W buffer size needing to decrease, which I've done only to be told to increase it... then decrease etc...continuously not working. Also got no sound from for eg structure or inputs... Trying to stay calm, just want to make some music, please help... I have checked all the inputs outputs as far as I can tell and nothing else is running on the mac... Please... thank you

What version of Mac OS are you running?

I am not familiar with that error, but have you tried different firewire configurations? I am assuming pluging your Mbox into the Glyph could be producing the error.

The Mbox 2 Pro is not compatible with FW800 drives - at least not when they are on the same bus. Your only option in this case would be to get a FW400 expresscard (like this ) and connect the Mbox 2 Pro to that. It's not officially tested or supported at the moment, but should work.
