windows xp media center mbox issue

MessageAuthor

all the drivers for my mbox and pro tools le installed fine and i selected the mbox as my output driver in the xp control panel. for some wierd reason only my professional audio programs (that let you select the drivers in the program specifically) and windows media player will put out through the mbox. no real player, quick time, general windows sounds, etc. any ideas? key point why is windows media following the driver i chose (mbox) through the windows xp control panel but no other programs that are supposed to follow the same instructions doing so? thanks for any ideas.

Two suggestions: 1.) Open Quicktime and go to Edit-Preferences-Sound Out. Make sure the settings are correct. 2.) If that didn't give you any success then download the Digi-MME Helper, available on this website. It is a program written by Rail Jon Rogut - a highly regarded PT user. The utility allows you to select which programs you want to play back through the MBOX. I'm sure this will solve your problems.

By Media-Centre what do you mean? Do you mean system-sounds etc?
