Clicks & pops at punch-in!!!!

MessageAuthor

I have the same problem all the time. You have to make sure the level you're pucnhing is similar to the level you're replacing. Some suggestions: -Try using the quick punch feature and setting it to automatically crossfade your ins and outs (in the preferences dialog). -I sometimes try to slide the regions around so I can get close to a zero crossing at the punch point and then crossfade afterwords and that seems to work. Good luck.

I too have had this problem, even with a punch entry point where there is no playing. That damn pop show up right in the silence. I have this work around. For punching I highlight the region I want to replace. I use the pre-roll function to give me a lead in to the part. The system goes right into record mode when the selected region is reached. I have not heard any pops when I do it this way.
